Fun at our house

I love our new house! We have room to play!!!!! The other day John came home from a bike ride and said he was really hot, he asked Ella if she wanted to run through the sprinklers. It was so cute to see them running in the sprinklers together. We also got a fun bouncy blow up thing. Instead of putting it outside, we put in in the basement and it fits perfectly! The whole family has fun on it. We have to really be careful with Ely and Dean, because they have no fear and like to go down the slide (by themselves)! I just love it here.

Fun at the cabin

My family was going up to our cabin and I wanted to go, but John worked the night before, so he would be asleep during the day. I decided to take on the challenge of all 3 kids by myself. Ella was really excited to go up and see her grandma, grandpa, and cousins. She got all dolled up for the ride up there. When we were little my mom would always do a treasure hunt for us and hide candy all over the place. When we got up there my mom had done the same thing for the kids. It was so cute!!! The kids had a blast. We had a lot of fun until Ella fell off the lower deck onto her face! I was so freaked out because she landed on her face and the rest of her body flipped over while her face stayed in the same place. It looked like she broke her neck! After I stopped shaking I checked her out and made sure she was o.k. Her face got a little banged up, but she is going to have a couple of little scars. She's an accident prone tough little cookie.

I love Lehi

I absolutely love living here in Lehi! There are fun "small town" types of things to do. During the Lehi Round-up week there were activities going on every day. Movies at the ball park, concerts in the park, a children's parade, and a "big" parade. We ended up going to both parades. Ella LOVED it! The Lehi Fire Dept. held their first annual foam day. They sprayed tons of foam/bubbles all over this big field. Then they would run their sirens and that was your warning that they were going to start spraying. Ella was o.k. with getting her feet in it, but she was not o.k. when we got sprayed. I thought it was fun!

Messy . . . Clean

Here are a few random pictures of Ella, Dean and Elysee making a mess, looking messy and trying to get clean
Ella tried to hide (behind her hand) when she knew she'd be in trouble
John fed the kids Oreo cookies for breakfast while I was at work, I'm amazed that he captured the evidence in pictures.
Elysee was in the process of getting clean (bath time is quite the process)
He likes to feed himself and he likes to get it everywhere BUT his mouth
Ella loves to play in this mixure of rice and flour - she plays in it at least once a week, while I'm cooking. It usually takes me a 1/2 hour to clean it all up. But you should see how happy she is when she is making "castles"
Dean and Ely make this mess whenever the kids bathroom door is left open
Ely was an emotional mess. She lost her balance and fell and hit her lip. Her poor little lip was SO swollen!
Ella and I testing out the jets in the master bath
Ely loved her first experience with thin mint girl scout cookies
Dean just wanted more and more girl scout cookies

Best Buddies

Ella has her first real friend! The very first week we moved into our new house the cute kids from across the street came over to check out the new people (us). This cute little boy is Ethan. He comes over all the time to play with Ella. One of the times they were playing and Ethan asked if Ella had any costumes. Of course we only have girly costumes and Ethan was not OK with that. He ran home and had a hulk costume on and put his batman cape over it. I think Ella was in love (just look at the way she is looking at him)! I love that he is 4 and Ella is 2 and that doesn't bother him at all. FYI - there are little boys Ella's age all over our neighborhood, not many girls (we're going to be in trouble if we live here when she's a teenager).

4th of July

Better late than never - right? We had a great 4th of July. We had my family and John's family over for a BBQ. Then the kids played on the slip 'n slide. Ella kept on going up to the water, getting a tiny bit wet, then running away. We had a great time. Later that night John had to go to work. I put the twins to bed and was about to put Ella down when we heard some fireworks going off down the street. I decided that Ella needed to have the WHOLE experience of the 4th of July. So we went down the street and stayed for just a little while. Ella covered her ears and kept on closing her eyes. When I asked if she wanted to go home, she said "yes, it's too loud." Hopefully next year the twins will be able to see the fireworks.
