We are having...

I just wanted to give everyone an update on the twins. We found out on April 7th that we will be having a boy and a girl!!! Baby A is the boy and baby B is the girl.

Obviously a boy (his name is Dean - I think)

And this is our little girl, don't you just love her profile? We don't know what her name is yet.

During the ultrasound the two of them were playing/fighting. The girl got her little legs and started pushing against the sack to move the boy out of the way. She had more than her share of room. Then the boy got his arms and started pushing back! The technician just said, "You are going to have your hands full with these two." When I told her that we also had a daughter who just turned one, her eyes got huge and she just started laughing and said, "Oh, good luck!"

I have really started to get big in the last month! When I look in the mirror I can't believe how big I already am! I teach Jr. high, and they are brutally honest. There are two students in particular who love to tell me how big I am. It started out pretty nice when they would say, "Mrs. Eisenhart, you can't even tell you're pregnant!" Then in the last two weeks Zack chuckles while telling me EVERYDAY... "Wow Mrs. Eisenhart, you are getting really big!" The sweet girls just roll their eyes at him and say, "What do you expect?!? She has two babies inside of her!" Ahhh, Jr. High, you've got to love it! (In this picture I am 21 weeks and 4 days pregnant)

Crazy Ella

We finally got Ella's 1 year old pictures back and I can't believe how big she looks! I mean she is such a skinny little thing, but she is just growing up. There are times when I get really excited about all of the new things that she is learning, but at the same time I'm sad she's growing up. She does things to make me laugh all of the time. Tonight at dinner she threw food off of her tray and before I even had a chance to do anything, she looked right at me and started shaking her finger saying, "no, no, no, no". I had to turn away so she didn't see me laughing. Everyday John and I say, "She is so smart!" Maybe all kids are like her, but we don't know any better since she is our first. She is getting so good at sign language and knows at least 20 signs. She is also working on her animal sounds, so far she can do: dog, bear, bird, cat, tiger, bee, duck, horse, monkey, lion, fish (mouth movements of course). Now when it comes to walking... that's a different story. She is such a chicken and will only take a few steps at a time, then she will just crawl the rest of the way. It is already hard to keep up with her (especially with my growing belly) so I can't imagine what it's going to be like when she is walking/running. I am so grateful that I have such a wonderful husband who loves to spend time with his little Ella. I don't know how many of you know this, but he works the graveyard shift at work and is home with Ella while I teach school. They are best buddies! He is one in a million!

Getting BIG and CHEESE

Car Accident

Yesterday on my way home from work I was in a car accident! I was stopped, with my blinker on, in front of my house making a left-hand turn to go into my driveway. There was a car coming in the opposite direction, so obviously I was waiting for them to pass, when out of nowhere I get this sharp pain in my back and I can't figure out what is going on. A woman who wasn't paying attention rear-ended me at about 25-30 mph (we think). My lower back was immediately in a lot of pain, then it hit me... my babies!!!! Were they ok? I needed to get checked to make sure the twins were both ok. Luckily Ella was home with John, and she was asleep in the house. John was outside doing some yard work so he saw what happened and came running over and called 911. I didn't want to be transported by ambulance because it costs so much. So my wonderful mom came over and watched Ella while John and I went to the emergency room. Both of the babies heartbeats were strong and they didn't do x-rays on my back. My back feels a lot better today, but my neck is killing me and I have a constant headache!!! It hurts to move my neck at all. I haven't felt the babies moving very much today so I might go to the Dr.'s tomorrow just to make sure everything is ok. Our car was damaged but we didn't have to have it towed. The other people had to have their car towed and they were mad about that. We are waiting to hear from their insurance. I finally got impatient and called their insurance company and it turns out they didn't mention us at all in their claim!!! John heard them telling the police that it was my fault! I have no idea how that could even be somewhat blamed on me! Needless to say the police didn't even ask me because obviously I didn't do anything wrong. It makes me mad to think that these people think they shouldn't have to tell their insurance, because they didn't think they were in the wrong. Oh well, what can you do?
