Police!

Have you ever called the police? Yes, it's true. I just called the police on my noisy neighbors across the street. It is just after 1:30 AM and they are using a leaf blower (and have been for the last 1/2 hour). I just couldn't take the noise anymore! Was I wrong to do this?

Not at all!!! after 9:30 I think is mostly the rule for noise. You have small kids and 1:30 in the morning is a little rude. You're totally fine. I've had to do it a couple times about weird things. Hey 2 weeks ago my neighbor decided to wander over here and was drunk as skunk pounding on my door. Glad I called the cops he needed his stomach pumped. Great!

We have called the police soooo many times on the house next door!!! We call it "the party house". We knew it wasn't a good sign when the first night they moved in they had a large bonfire in the backyard, in the middle of the city, not in a fire pit, but just on the ground. Oh they are awewsome, especially the night some one was mad at someone else during a large party, a fight then started, there were lots of injuries, and a large decorative brick got thrown through their front window! Sounded like a gun shot...I was up nursing my 6 week old baby. We actually live in a family neighborhood, everyone has kids, great people, and then "they" moved in! Oh the stories I could tell. So after rambling forever...absolutly, you were right to call the police. I have the dispatch number memorized.:-)

Yikes! I would have called them too. Who in the world uses a leaf blower at that hour?

Ditto... What on earth are you using a leaf blower at 1:30 AM for? Was he actually blowing leaves? What a weirdo! Some people just have NO respect for others.

What I think is funny is that it's 1:30am and being ticked off, you went straight to your BLOG!!! HAHAH! You're so like me!!! And totally, I would've called the po-po in a heartbeat if my neighbors were doing that! I mean, A LEAF BLOWER!? C'mon!

You are so not wrong! You have 3 young children who are in need of sleep (along with mommy and daddy) and I do believe there are noise ordinance times where it is supposed to be quiet. I've told you that I had to call on my neighbors below me (thank goodness they moved). Don't feel bad about doing this. Did the police come?

I think it was a smart thing to do. People should be more respectful especially at that hour! You go girl!

When you gotta blow the leaves, you gotta blow the leaves!

We called the cops on our neighbors when it sounded like he was beating the snot out of her. Turns out, he was but she was too drunk to care, so she attacked the cop that was trying to keep the guy down. Both of them were hauled off.

No, you were not.. I am a police dispatcher.. and sadly people think they are wrong to call the police for things like that.

That's our job. That's what we get paid to do.

If it's bothering you or it's an issue, then call anytime!

That's your tax dollars at work!
