9 Months Old

I can't even imagine the trouble that they're going to get into when they're older! Elysee looking nice and full

Dean is the new cookie monster

Elysee is quick to find new things to explore

Dean isn't potty trained, but that isn't stopping him from getting into the "potty prizes"

After going to the Doctor's reality hit that my little babies are already 9 months old!!! I can't believe how quickly time has flown by. Dean and Elysee seem to really be on just about the same level as far as growth and mobility. They are crawling all over the place and getting into EVERYTHING! They both stand up as soon as they have something to hold on to. Ely is now starting to cruise furniture and is getting pretty quick at it. They both have an excellent pincer grasp. They both say Mama and Dada. They like to play peek-a-boo and roll the ball with Ella. Dean is all boy! The other day I caught Dean putting his hand in Ely's mouth. Ely would start to cry and get mad and Dean would get a funny little mischievous look and just laugh. He kept doing it over and over. The next day Ely got her revenge and poked him in the eye and just as quick as I could pull her hand away, she would poke him again. I also keep on catching the babies getting into the dirt where our plant is and when I tell them "no" they get a huge grin, like it's some kind of game. Dean is always shaking his head "no", and Ely always nods her head "yes". I wonder if this is telling me a little bit of how the future is going to be. Ella loves that they are able to "play" now. As soon as Ella gets up she asks if Dean and Ely can play. Dean and Ely LOVE to eat! They will eat any and everything. Their most recent favorite thing is french toast. I can't believe how much they can eat, yet they are super tiny for their age. Here are their stats.

Dean - Height 27 inches = 10%tile - Weight 14.31 lbs = 0%tile

Elysee - Height 26.2 inches = 10%tile - Weight 14.69 lbs = 1%tile

Mamarazzi's Favorite Thing Swap

Earlier this week after coming home from running errands (all by myself - it was nice). I walked in the door and saw a huge package waiting for me! I was SO excited. Isn't it the best when you get an awesome package instead of bills? Well the twins were starving and as soon as they saw me they started to do their hungry cry and came crawling over. So of course I've got them hooked up to mama cow (yes, me) and I'm dying because I want to open my package so bad. I just couldn't wait! I had John and Ella open the package and read each note aloud. Ella was just as excited as I was, because she thought that the package was for her.

Jen was my swap partner and it is so weird because she sent me HER favorite things which just happened to be MY favorite things as well!!! With each item that John pulled out of the box I kept saying, "that's my favorite thing too" or "oh, I love that too"! Once in a while Ella would chirp in "me too!" Jen doesn't live to far so I'm hoping that we will be good friends. Now for all of the fun things...

-Disposable camera

-shower gel, lotion and puff gift set (yummy vanilla sugar scent)

-really cute black picture frame with 3 pictures of her favorite things - Yellowstone National Park, the Salt Lake Temple, and New Zealand

-package of coffee cakes (super tasty)

-package of fiber plus bars

-sour gummy worms and sour patch kids (which are MY FAVORITE)

-wild animal zoo toys (Ella wanted to open them right away, I almost didn't get a picture)

-Leatherby's gift card (ice cream is my favorite dessert)

-Readers Digest

-Parents Magazine (Jen read my mind because I subscribe to this magazine)

-Extra Gum

-jar of Carmel with a yummy recipe

-Reese's Peanut Butter Cups

There was a note attached to each item which told why it is one of her favorite things. This was such a fun thing to do I hope to get on board with the next swap as well. Thanks Jen for all of the fun things!!!

Hair today... Gone tomorrow

No, my kids don't really have hair that miraculously grew overnight!!! But we sure did have fun with a wig for Ella's build-a-bear. Even John joined in on the fun. I was laughing so hard that my stomach hurt.

Look Who's Crawling

At the end of April both of the twins started to really crawl. They have both been army crawling for a while. But in April they both started crawling up on their hands and knees within a couple of days of each other. Elysee loves to kneel. She crawls to an object then kneels and plays. She is always finding things that she can use to pull herself to a stand. Dean is a little speed racer. He is a fast crawler! He likes to shut the door behind him and prop himself against it, making it hard for me to get through the door. They are just so funny! When ever I am cooking they find me in the kitchen and they both grab my legs and won't let go until I pick them up.

Ella loves her brother and sister so much. She is always asking them if they'd like to play. In fact, today I was in the kitchen making breakfast and I heard giggling in the front room. It was Ella and Ely playing together. Ella was being goofy trying to make Ely laugh. This is such a fun age!!!

No need for words

There really isn't a need for words.Ella is just too funny!

Easter

We had a great Easter this year (in fact we had 3 Easters!) On Easter Sunday we went to my parents house in Heber and had a really fun Easter Egg Hunt. Every year my parents hide 3 special eggs for the "grown ups". This year there were 2 golden eggs one had $100 in it and the other had $50, and there is a silver egg with $20. Traci and Skylar got the $100, Ryan and Marci got $50, and John and I got $20. John will still argue that it wasn't fair, but I say "Hey, that's $20 we didn't have before!" The kids all got fun stuff from Grandma and Grandpa. Aunt Sheri and Tom also gave all of the kids nice little Easter gifts (she is always so thoughtful!). Then we did Easter baskets at home on Tuesday (the kids are still little so they don't know when Easter really is). The Easter bunny spoiled the kids! I think we just might be the only family out there that LOVES Peeps! Ella already loves them as well! Then the next Sunday we went to Nana and Papa's in Lehi. Ella had her very own Easter egg hunt! John and TJ battled it out (like they always do!) and both ended up with over $100 and coupons to redeem, such as; breakfast at Jim's, no work for a week (I'd like to see John try to redeem that at work-lol), movie on mom and dad, do something nice for mom, and other good stuff. Here are some of the pictures.
